The Senior Security Analyst is responsible for providing Security guidance to the IT team, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical IT infrastructure components as it relates to security. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s security initiative.

Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement security solutions to enhance core security capabilities in the areas of security infrastructure, access management, networking, databases, servers
  • Advanced knowledge of security operations, incident analysis, incident handling, and vulnerability management or testing, system patching, log analysis, intrusion detection, or firewall administration
  • Research and provide gap analysis of the current processes  and identifying opportunities for process improvements
  • Evaluate internal and external environment for threats, changes, related to Information Security and perform the role as Information Security subject matter expert to ensure these are properly addressed and controlled
  • Provide advice and support for Information Security managed systems and vendors
  • Help to automate manual process 
  • Utilize SIEM data and correlated logs containing IDS/IPS, AV, web application firewalls, Operating System events, web proxy, and similar data to establish context and scope
  • Conduct manual or system assisted analysis and make recommendations to prevent and better detect fraudulent activity
  • Respond to cyber-security threats, vulnerabilities, events and incidents
  • Analyze proposed solutions architecture, technology, design and IT development processes to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, and to recommend options that enhance the security of solutions and business processes
  • Participate in, or lead testing, evaluation, upgrade and implementation of new and existing security applications to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Prepare audit summaries and results with senior IT management 
  • Provide requirements and clear direction to peers, across functional teams and 3rd party service providers
  • Mentor, train and encourage more junior staff members

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT leadership roles with a track record of exceptional leadership and relationship- building skills.
  • Strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with network security assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, nmap, Wireshark)
  • Project management skills and experience overseeing IT projects.
  • 3-5 years performing IT Audits and Assessments
  • Ability to travel to other offices as needed.

Highly Preferred

  • Completion of security certifications (CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, GREM, CEH, CIH, CISA, CISM, ) is preferred
