The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the strategic planning, design, and implementation of complex network systems. This role requires extensive experience in network engineering, a deep understanding of network protocols and technologies, and the ability to create scalable and secure network solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex and scalable network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks, to meet client needs.
  • Implement network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect client data and systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to design and implement network solutions for projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Provide consultation to clients and internal teams on network design best practices, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
  • Document network designs, configurations, and procedures to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Work after hours as needed to complete network implementation projects for clients, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
  • Manage and track network design and implementation tasks through a ticketing system, ensuring timely communication and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network engineering, with extensive experience in designing and implementing complex network systems.
  • Expert knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN technologies.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level network hardware, including Cisco, SonicWall, Aruba or similar.
  • Proficiency with advanced network design and implementation tools.
  • In-depth understanding of advanced network security principles and best practices.
  • Relevant high-level certifications such as CCNP, CCDE, SNSP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems for tracking design and implementation tasks.
