Position Overview:
The Senior Information Security Engineer will assist the CISO with the deployment and cultivation of an enterprise-wide information security program by providing strategic and tactical technical solutions, project execution and IT alignment to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Company’s information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and manage information security solutions implemented by internal and external technical and non-technical groups.
– Provide technical consultation to IT and business units to align security programs with other processes and programs throughout the enterprise.
– Lead, coordinate and perform technical analysis and evaluation of information technology software and hardware to support Company Information Security Program.
– Enumerate and prioritize vulnerabilities/risks, devises solutions, plan, drive and track mitigation with IT and non-IT business units.
– Assist the CISO in defining tactical and strategic strategies for the company Information Security Program.
– Facilitate incident response, legal eDiscovery, and forensic investigation with both IT experts and business units.
– Determine technical gaps and program inefficiencies and make recommendations for information technology that can close the gaps and/or improve directives.
– Coordinate and facilitate verbal, written and public communications across multiple stakeholders. – Provide Level 3 technical support related to information security infrastructure.
– Performs other related functions as assigned. Competencies and Skills:
– Experience with MS O365 applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
– Experience with project or program management
– Demonstrated ability to work with high-level direction.
– Demonstrated technical knowledge including but, not limited to: firewalls (network & application), networks, database security, server and desktop operating systems, application security, IDS/IPS technology, malware technology, security event correlation technology, identity services technology, AV and filtering technologies and other security related tools.
– Basic understanding of programming languages and/or scripting technologies.
– Demonstrated technical knowledge of network architectures.
– Working knowledge of aligning information security controls against required regulatory requirements. – Risk analysis and mitigation knowledge
– Working knowledge of mobile and online application technologies.
– Working knowledge of cloud security practices Work Experience Requirements:
– 5-7 years providing security-specific solutions in IT administration or similar role.
– 3-5 years project or program management/execution
– 3-5 years experience deploying new information security solutions. Education Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
Other Qualifications:
– Security+, CISSP, SSCP or GIAC certification
