Job Title: Presales Consultant: SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM)

As an SAP Supply Chain Management Presales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team by leveraging your specialized knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Management solutions. Your primary objective will be to engage with prospective clients and showcase how SAP’s supply chain solutions can address their specific business challenges, optimize operations, and enhance overall efficiency. Your in-depth understanding of SAP SCM will be crucial in building trust, identifying customer needs, and offering tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of SAP Supply Chain Management solutions and stay updated on the latest features and trends in the field.
  2. Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to understand the needs and pain points of potential clients, and offer expert guidance on how SAP SCM can address these challenges.
  3. Solution Demos: Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the capabilities and benefits of SAP SCM to potential clients. Tailor these presentations to suit the specific needs of each prospect.
  4. Customized Solutions: Work with clients to understand their unique business requirements and provide customized solutions that align with their supply chain and logistics goals.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Assist clients in evaluating their current technology stack and assess compatibility with SAP SCM solutions. Address technical queries and provide insights on integration and implementation.
  6. Proposal Development: Collaborate with the sales team to create persuasive proposals and articulate the value proposition of SAP SCM solutions in a way that resonates with the client’s objectives.
  7. Competitive Analysis: Keep abreast of industry competition and understand how SAP’s SCM offerings compare to rival solutions, enabling you to effectively communicate SAP’s advantages.
  8. Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients and act as a trusted advisor throughout the pre-sales process, positioning SAP as the partner of choice for their supply chain management needs.
  9. Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from clients during presales interactions and share insights with the product development and sales teams to continuously improve SAP SCM offerings.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience in presales or consulting roles related to SAP Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP SCM solutions and a track record of successful presales engagements.
  • Well versed with Supply chain management best practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand and address client-specific supply chain challenges.
  • Proficiency in SAP software and associated tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, technical, and product teams.
