Job Overview:
As a PHP Developer you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape of our media platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and backend developers, to develop and maintain high-quality web applications and features. Your expertise in PHP, along with your problem-solving skills and passion for creating exceptional user experiences, will be instrumental in driving our company’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deploy PHP-based web applications and features that align with our progressive media vision. Implement clean, efficient, and maintainable code while ensuring high performance and security standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Work closely with frontend developers to integrate user interfaces seamlessly with backend functionalities.
- Identify and address technical issues, troubleshooting and debugging applications as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance our development processes and product offerings.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of software development life cycles, from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with the wider team to brainstorm and implement innovative solutions that enrich our users’ experience.
- Assist in optimizing existing applications for improved efficiency, scalability, and user engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing web application development projects.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and related technologies, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience in optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and security. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges.
- Passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and eagerness to share knowledge and insights with the team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
