Payroll Specialist overseeing full-cycle payroll for a Faith-based Non-Profit Org, ensuring compliance with laws and maintaining accurate records. Strong payroll knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential; as well as accounting experience.
Manage and process organization-wide payroll accurately and timely. Reconcile and manage payroll deductions and adjustments. Ensure compliance with payroll laws and educate affiliates. Support audits and recommend software/process updates. Conduct monthly payroll and benefit premium reconciliation. Provide training and support to bookkeepers and business managers. Collaborate with HR for accurate payroll updates. Maintain precise payroll records and reports. Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of payroll functions and tax regulations. Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles. Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. 5-7 years of multi-company payroll processing experience. Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience- (GL, P&L, reconciling benefits, invoices etc.)
Experience with Paylocity payroll and benefits platform a plus.
