Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Description:

Consultis Inc. an award-winning IT staffing firm is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a passion for building robust data infrastructure and optimizing data pipelines for one of our clients. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support our digital marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity, reliability, and accessibility of our data assets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
  2. Build and optimize data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant tools and technologies.
  3. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  4. Implement data governance best practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
  6. Design and maintain data models and schema designs to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  7. Work closely with cloud services such as AWS or Azure to deploy and manage data infrastructure.
  8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering and cloud computing.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  3. Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
  4. Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
  5. Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  6. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  2. Knowledge of data streaming and real-time processing architectures.
  3. Certification in AWS or Azure cloud services.
  4. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
